Slow conditions continue on the bay for ice anglers. Some anglers are finding some decent panfish but you have to weed through the smaller fish when you find them. Typical ice baits have been working such as tungsten jigs, swedish pimples and other jigging baits. Almost all the bay is safe but still proceed with caution as no ice is ever safe ice. Good luck to every one going out this week. TIGHT LINES!

Reports over the weekend from most anglers said the ice fishing was slow. They got on fish but nothing crazy in size with most catching gills, perch and crappie. Misery Bay, Horse shoe pond and most of the bay sounds like there is 6 inches or more of solid ice. After the foot of snow Erie received yesterday this might make getting onto the ice a little difficult so proceed with caution and take your time. Remember no ice is safe ice. Good luck to every one going out this week and be safe. TIGHT LINES !
