Meeting was called to order at 7PM on January 19, 2006.

Banquet
o Banquet is set for March 18th 2006.
o Erik Cronk is this year’s prize chairman. The solicitation of prizes was reviewed.
o The Chapter will once again put together a basket of cheer. The basket will consist of various wines.
Stream Improvement
o No updates on the Lampson Run project.
Old Business
o There was discussion about merchandise (hats, etc…) for the chapter. Need input on proposed artwork so that a price could be determined.
o The chapter decided not to participate in the Outdoor Expo at Family First.
o Bill Angelo provided an update on the Trout in the Classroom Project on Kettle Creek. (Please see the January newsletter). Jim Pfendler mentioned the idea of a similar project occurring with Walnut Creek Middle School.
o Jim Pfendler read the response from Dr. Austin. The letter stated that the PFBC considers easements and option. There was discussion about forming a committee to stay on top of forthcoming issues related to land acquisition and easements. There was also discussion about keeping legislators such as Jane Earl informed on the issue.
New Business
o Deadline for the Rivers Conservation Camp is March 15th 2006. The date for the camp is June 18-23, 2006. Chapter is looking to sponsor 2 youths.
o Marsh Young will attend the general membership meeting in February. Purpose is to discuss French Creek Project Weekend (June 19-21, 2006).
o Don Tamaro shared that the Little Juniata law suit date has been set.
o Dan hill suggested the Chapter taking an interest in the new Tom Ridge Center that is schedule to open Memorial Day weekend.
o The Allegheny Float Trip date has been set. The trip is scheduled for May 24th, 2006.
o JT Davis updated the chapter on the proposed place of an Inn/Visitor Center on the new Erie Bluffs State Park. After extensive discussion it was determined that the issue is not within the scope of the Trout Unlimited mission. Until there is sound evidence that any development will have a negative impact on nearby Elk Creek the chapter will not take a position on the issue.
Motion to adjourn by Al Barger, second by Eric Lyle. Motion passed unanimously.
