The following is a listing of charter boats which are based on Pennsylvania's waters of Lake Erie. Most charter boats fish from May through October, and target walleye, steelhead, salmon, smallmouth bass, perch and lake trout.

Effective January 1, 2006, charters in Pennsylvania must be registered. We are in the process of reviewing the charters listed below and removing those that are not registered in accordance with the new regulations of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. Until we have completed this review, you should check to be sure that any charter listed below is properly registered to charter in Pennsylvania.

The professionalism of charter captains can vary significantly. Questions you may wish to ask a captain before booking a charter include: (1) whether they are licensed by the United States Coast Guard; (2) their years of experience; (3) whether they operate full-time or only part-time; and (4) the duration of the trip (and whether it will end early if you "limit out").
